How long does general maintenance and upkeep usually take?
How often does a crane generally require maintenance and upkeep? National regulations clearly mandate the daily maintenance and upkeep of special equipment. Crane installation must comply with relevant standards to prevent unnecessary accidents. Wuxi Shenzhou Crane is a professional company specializing in the installation, maintenance, and upkeep of special equipment.
During normal operation, the driver must not engage in the following behaviors:
1. Parking permits, location restrictions;&,
2. Reverse braking;&,
3. Inspection and maintenance during cantilever lifting operations;
4. Adjusting the brakes of the hoisting and luffing mechanisms with a load, or increasing the operating range with a load;
5. The hoisted object must not pass overhead, and personnel must not stand under the hoisted object or boom.
It is strictly forbidden to work in front of the crane; that is, the center of gravity of the hook must not exceed the connecting line between the center of rotation and the ground center line (left and right) of the front outriggers. When the lifting capacity indicator is not working, the lifting capacity should be determined according to the lifting performance table, and the operation of the vehicle crane should be standardized to ensure safety.
Maintenance and repair of braking devices
Check for noise and heat dissipation during the operation of the mechanism; check and adjust the clearance between the brake pads and the brake wheel; check the springs and connecting rods of the brake for fatigue deformation, cracks, and other defects; check the lubrication of the gearbox, reducer, external gear, and other components, and whether there is any hydraulic oil leakage; check whether the oil filter is frequently clogged, whether the safety valve is adjusted after use, whether the braking surface of the brake needs to be adjusted, and whether dirt must be cleaned with gasoline or thinner. Check the tire tread and wheel axles for fatigue cracks, whether the wheel tread axle wear exceeds the standard, and whether there is any fretting during operation.
Regularly check the condition of the sheave, maintaining an appropriate clearance between the sheave and other objects' external contours. If the clearance is too small, the sheave will wear down the cover plate. If the clearance is too large, the wire rope will loosen out of the groove or get pinched between the cover plate and the sheave rim. The areas where the lifting balance beam and the closing mechanism sheave group wedge shell exit are prone to wire rope biting or cutting. Regularly check the smoothness of the rounded corners at the wedge shell exit. If rough or sharpened, the rounded corners must be re-filed smooth.
